Athebio AG, based in Schlieren, Zurich, Switzerland, is a biotech firm that specializes in drug discovery through its proprietary Athebody® DARPin platform. This technology creates custom-designed ankyrin repeat proteins (DARPins) valued for their stability, small size, and high specificity, which are applicable across fields like immuno-oncology and gene therapy.
Athebio partners with pharmaceutical companies, supporting them with advanced DARPin molecules and selection platforms.

Throughout the summer of 2024, I had the great pleasure of working with the Athebio team on a complete rebranding project, which included a new logo, color scheme, font system, and, of course, updated visuals for presentations and their brand new website.

For the logo, we chose an organic, rounded design depicting a four-part DARPin chain, arranged in a flower-petal style. Each stylized DARPin element showcases the three internal repeats that define binding site specificity. Translating the 3D DARPin structure into clear, 2D and 3D building blocks for key visuals and schematics was especially enjoyable. A big shout-out and heartfelt thanks to the entire Athebio team, who made this project a truly fantastic experience!
